Esta semana nos unimos a la voz global por la Semana Mundial del Parto Respetado. Pero, ¿qué significa realmente? This week we join the global movement for World Respectful Childbirth Week. But what does it actually mean?
El Parto Respetado es aquel donde se reconoce a la mujer como la protagonista de su propio parto. Significa que tus decisiones, tu cuerpo, tus tiempos y tu intimidad son la prioridad. Respectful Childbirth is about recognizing the birthing person as the protagonist of their own story. It means your decisions, your body, your rhythm, and your privacy are the priority.
Se trata de un nacimiento:
Informado: Donde recibes toda la evidencia para decidir. (Where you receive all the evidence to make your own choices.)
Sin violencia: Libre de intervenciones innecesarias. (Free from unnecessary interventions.)
Humano: Donde el vínculo entre mamá y bebé se protege desde el primer segundo. (Where the bond between mom and baby is protected from the very first second.)
Un parto respetado no es cosa de suerte por haber tenido una buena experiencia, es un derecho humano fundamental. A respectful birth is not a matter of luck for having had a good experience; it is a fundamental human right.
