We’re Excited to Announce…

We are honored to share our new partnership with Familiology and the launch of Conscious Arrival: A 3-Week Online Childbirth Series.

This is not your typical childbirth class.

Together, we created a one-of-a-kind experience that blends evidence-based childbirth education with birth psychology and nervous system awareness. Conscious Arrival explores how experiences before, during, and after birth shape physiology, attachment, and emotional well-being—for both parent and baby.

This course goes beyond information. It supports embodied birth, informed choice, and the foundation of lifelong connection.

✨ 100% Online
✨ Guided self-paced learning
✨ Live Q&A support
✨ Inclusive and affirming for all families

Why do babies cry for not reason? Even after all their needs are being met.

, “Our implicit memo-ries can be like invisible forces in our lives, impacting us in powerful ways. The more we can learn about implicit memory, the better we can understand ourselves and not let our expe-riences and reactions in the present get hijacked by our past.” This is true for babies, except that in many ways, because they are still so close to the birth transition, they can hardly help but be hijacked by some of its imposing imprints.

Our implicit memories can be like invisible forces in our lives, impacting us in powerful ways. The more we can learn about implicit memory, the better we can understand ourselves and not let our experiences and reactions in the present get hijacked by our past.

Implicit memory relies on structures in our brain that are fully developed before we are born. Because it’s an unconscious, bodily memory, when it gets triggered in the present, it does not seem like it’s coming from the past. Instead, it feels like it’s happening now. Thus, we react as if we are back in the original situation.

Some of our memories of what happened to us as children are fuzzy, while others are altogether unclear. We viewed our experiences and the world we were growing up in through the lens of a young child, which was not necessarily an accurate lens.

We’ve all heard the famous quote, “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”
The less we’re able to bring our past to light, the more likely it is to shape our lives, unfortunately, often in ways we don’t desire.

~Lisa Firestone, Ph.D.
