Facts about Autism

As stated by the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a developmental disorder that affects communication and behavior. Although autism can be diagnosed at any age, it is said to be a “developmental disorder” because symptoms generally appear in the first two years of life.

Below are some of the knowledge you need to know about Autism:

Children with ASD are very creative.
Individuals with autism are great observers. They show great attention to detail; very careful and precise.
- Autistic children learn at a young age. They can read and memorize information quickly.
- Individuals with ASD are very honest, reliable, and dedicated to what they are doing.
- They have an extraordinary logical thinking ability and are excellent at remembering facts for a long period of time.
- Individuals on the spectrum do not judge people quickly. Everyone is equal and accepted in their eyes and mind.

Thus, we must keep this in our minds too,

“Autism awareness” is one thing.
“Autism acceptance” is another.

Tuberculosis, commonly known as TB, is caused by a bacterium called Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The bacteria usually attack the lungs, but TB bacteria can attack any part of the body, such as the kidney, spine, and brain. 🦠

Signs and symptoms depend on where in the body the TB bacteria are growing. Thus, while it's still early and you're aware of how deadly this disease is, we should always focus on our health, inform and educate so no one would ever lose their lives again.

Fight and end TB now. 👊🏼
