3. People who have doula support are 50% less likely to deliver prematurely, 36% less likely to deliver low birthweight babies and 33% more likely to initiate breastfeeding.
4. Those who are supported by a doula during labor and childbirth are less likely to need a c-section or use pain medication, and more likely to give birth spontaneously, have a shorter labor and feel satisfied with their birthing experience.
