Many times over the years, I’ve been stopped on the street or messaged by someone saying, “Thank you so much… I loved the experience you gave us at Gentlemen’s Republic.”

And honestly, that means everything to me.

This picture right here was from Josh Medina’s groom’s party back in 2015. Moments like these were never just about haircuts. They were about friendship, music, celebration, brotherhood, laughter, and creating an experience people would remember for years.

At one point, Gentlemen’s Republic even turned into a music venue for a few shows. We celebrated birthdays, weddings, new beginnings, even celebrations of end of life and life itself inside those walls.

Looking back now, I realize we built something really special together.

So I’m going to start sharing more of these memories little by little. If you see yourself in these photos, tag yourself and tell us the story behind that day if you’d like. I know there are so many great memories tied to this chapter.

It truly was an incredible run, and I’m grateful for every single person who was part of it. 🤍

WITH HEARTFELT GRATITUDE

Today marks one year since the horrific circumstances that eventually led to our closing. So much has happened in that time. At first, I was scared, overwhelmed, and saddened by the loss of such a much-needed safe space for gents and my staff.

To every client who reached out, checked in, and wished me well—thank you. Your words and support carried me through, and I will never forget them. It truly was a great run, and I am so grateful for every memory we created together.

Since then, I’ve poured my energy into monumental growth. I’ve become licensed in advanced aesthetics, earned certifications as a trichologist and a functional nutritionist, and the list keeps going. This journey has been about healing, learning, and building myself stronger so that I can, once again, create something even more meaningful for the gents’ space and for humanity too.

A new chapter is unfolding, and I can’t wait to share it with you.

🌹✨ A New Era Begins… ✨🌹

From 2011 to 2024, Gentlemen’s Republic was my heartbeat. It was a space of refinement, style, culture, and transformation—for my clients, the El Paso community, and for me. I poured my soul into every detail. But life has a divine way of shaking us when it’s time to grow, and last year… it shook me to the core.

The unexpected closure of a place I built with blood, sweat, and deep devotion broke something open in me. I grieved like it was a death. Because, in many ways, it was. The loss of a business is the loss of a piece of your identity—and no one prepares you for that kind of pain.

But now, at 54, I see it all differently. I didn’t just lose something—I was reborn. 🌺✨

Today, I’m walking into a softer, more radiant chapter of my life. I’m officially in Beauty School, and I have fallen madly in love with skin, hair regrowth, and sacred self-care. I feel like I have been transformed—grounded in wisdom, but bursting with the curiosity of a beginner. This isn’t just career pivoting. This is divine wisdom.

I finally understand the power of rest and life work balance. Of reinvention. Of surrender. Of being present in my softness while still wielding the strength of everything I’ve survived.

To all the licensed beauty professionals out there: I see you differently now. I respect your craft even more deeply, because now I get to feel what it’s like from your side of the chair. The training. The discipline. The magic in your hands. I’m honored to now walk this path alongside you.

So, here we go—The Comeback Chronicles. 💫
I’ll be sharing my school journey, my healing journey, and the quiet behind-the-scenes moments of what it’s really like to rebuild after everything falls apart.
