Personal should not be treating all clients’ nutrition the same. For example, women in perimenopause and menopause must be more mindful of alcohol due to its effects on mood and sleep. Overpromoting saturated fats, like beef tallow, ignores evidence that excess saturated fat increases heart disease risk, while unsaturated fats can improve HDL (good) cholesterol.

The obesity epidemic is mostly because Americans aren’t following the guidelines.

Cholesterol is made in your liver and travels through your bloodstream. There are two main types: LDL (“bad”) and HDL (“good”). LDL can build up in your arteries, raising blood pressure and increasing the risk of heart attack or stroke, while HDL helps remove LDL from your arteries. Eating a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, and rich in fruits and vegetables, can lower LDL and boost HDL, reducing your risk of heart problems.

Our Story

Coach Julio is a proud United States Navy Veteran. During his tenure of service, he completed tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and the Global War on Terrorism. He has been a lifelong athlete since childhood, from playing little league baseball to rowing competitively at the collegiate level with UC-Santa Barbara and continuing to seek greater competition by joining Penn AC Rowing Club in Philadelphia, one of the premiere rowing clubs in the nation.

He applies his first-hand experience as a Veteran and former collegiate athlete, and his proven expertise as a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist and Certified Personal Trainer to create the individualized training plan that will give clients the best results.
