We can help you understand your child’s disability, understand your rights and responsibilities under IDEA, obtain and evaluate resources and services for your child, and fully participate as a team member with professionals in planning services for your child. What kind of assistance does PEN offer?

As we wrap up this month, our team is taking a short break to rest, reconnect, and refill our cup so we can continue showing up for you with the energy and heart you deserve. The PEN Project offices will be closed from November 24 to 28, and we will reopen ready to serve you again on Monday, December 1.

We know many of you are navigating big feelings, big responsibilities, and big dreams for your children. Please know, even during our pause, you remain in our thoughts. Thank you for being part of our PEN family. We appreciate you, we see you, and we’re honored to walk beside you.

CADRE created a set of companion resources for parents and families. They developed six parent guides and a process comparison chart with the support of parent leaders from across the country. These guides explain facilitation, mediation, written state complaints, due process complaints, resolution meetings, and expedited due process complaints.
