I love it when a plan comes together ✨

Dad made it home from TDY in time.
Their preferred provider was on call.
And once this mama decided she could do it… her baby was ready to meet her too.

I had the honor of being there to support her as it all unfolded.

And just like that, a beautiful baby was welcomed earthside.

Also… shoutout to the motorcycle cop who decided today was not the day to pull over a midwife and a doula. 🚨

Apparently it’s VBAC season over here 🤍 This mama did so, so well!

One of my favorite moments?�Her OB—also 38 weeks pregnant—literally playing tug of war with her. IYKYK 😂

The whole room was aligned, supportive, in it with her—and she rose to every second of it.

She wanted a VBAC and planned to do it unmedicated… and she did exactly that!

Supporting this mama as she worked through labor and then seeing the look on her face when she grabbed my hand and said “I just did that!” was priceless.

Moments like this are why I love being a doula.

Hey Friends! As we prepare for an anticipated PCS this summer, my birth doula calendar is officially full! I’m so thankful for each of the families I’ve had the honor to support while stationed here on the boarder of southern New Mexico and El Paso!

Even though I cannot take new birth clients right now, I’m still here to help you with placenta encapsulation (for due dates before July) and virtual lactation counseling!

February was full of powerful beginnings.

Some babies came quickly, some took their time. Some births followed the plan, and some asked families to pivot and find strength they didn’t know they had.

Every single one reminded me that birth isn’t about doing it one “right” way — it’s about parents meeting their babies with courage, love, and trust.

There is something so powerful about a mama who asks questions. 💗

After a previous cesarean, this mama planned to TOLAC (trial of labor after cesarean) and then her baby was breech.

Instead of assuming her path was decided, she explored her options, asked thoughtful questions about ECV, and truly weighed the risks and benefits.

Her ECV was successful — and she went on to have a beautiful VBAC.

What I love most isn’t just the outcome, but how she made her decision: informed, supported, and aligned with her intuition.

This is what empowered birth looks like. ✨
