1️⃣ RSV is a common respiratory virus that affects the nose, throat, and lungs. Its symptoms can look just like a cold, flu, or COVID-19.
2️⃣ RSV spreads most during fall and winter, often peaking in December and January.
3️⃣ RSV can be serious for infants, especially babies under 6 months, who may become very sick and require hospitalization.

At El Paso Children’s Hospital, keeping our patients and staff healthy is our top priority. You can help us maintain a safe environment by getting vaccinated, washing your hands frequently, avoiding close contact with those who are ill, and staying home when you are sick to avoid getting others sick.

Even one drop of honey can make your baby sick, including cooked or pasteurized honey.

Avoid honey for babies under 1 year old:
• Not on ni***es while breastfeeding
• Not on pacifiers
• Not on bottle ni***es
• If your baby is experiencing respiratory symptoms please contact your child’s pediatrician for guidance

Honey can cause infant botulism, a serious illness for young babies.

We’re recognizing the Craniosynostosis and Cranial/Facial Surgery Team for their expert, minimally invasive care of baby Giorgio Oravetz, whose journey began with a rare diagnosis shortly after birth.

Thanks to the team’s skill, compassion and dedication, Giorgio is thriving today — a journey that even led his family to Rome, where he received a personal blessing from the Pope, a powerful reminder of the impact Texas hospitals have on lives far beyond their walls. 👶❤️
