Midwinter Moon (Mafuyutsuki)

Midwinter Moon (Mafuyutsuki) "Honor the sacred. Honor the Earth, our Mother. Honor the Elders. Walk in balance and beauty This site is to introduce you into alternative (Holistic) healing.

Honor all with whom we share the Earth:- Four-leggeds, two-leggeds, winged ones, Swimmers, crawlers, plant and rock people. My name is Jessica (or Jessie, which is preferred) Casey, the founder of Midwinter Moon. The physical business, shop, or headquarters, will be set in El Paso, TX. As we are into alternative healing, we are also into alternative lifestyles as well. Here, we offer service to everyone despite your background, your culture, your religion, sexual orientation, or lifestyle. In addition to healing, there are many other things we offer, products you can take home with you, or give as a gift. We provide anything from natural healing, to food, to clothes, to healing products, to other homemade items.

The environment provides a warm, comfortable atmosphere, in which one could relax, and enjoy themselves. I have been into, or interested in holistic medicine for thirteen years now,but still consider myself a beginner, a novice, for though I off and on read upon the healing since age seven, practice is still somewhat new to me. More information about this business will be put up as the time comes. (Midwinter Moon is an umbrella of a school, a holistic medical center, and a simple resting eating place).

Looking for some natural conditioners for your hair? Try your kitchen cupboards for some of the best moisturizers to revitalize your hair.

DRY hair –Olive Oil and Egg
In need of some major TLC?? Combine three tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil with two eggs and apply the mixture to your hair and let the mixture sit for 20 minutes before rinsing in the shower.
The olive oil will help hydrate brittle locks, while the protein in the eggs will promote healthy hair growth.

ALL HAIR TYPES — Avocado and Honey
Mask a ripened avocado and mix in a tablespoon of organic honey and allow it to sit for 20 minutes before rinsing it off in the shower.
Avocados are rich in a variety of vitamins and nutrients, including vitamin E and protein, both of which your hair needs to remain soft and healthy. Meanwhile, honey is a natural antibacterial agent.

OILY hair — Apple Cider Vinegar and Lemon
Combine 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar with the grated peel of an entire lemon and allow it to set for 15 minutes to absorb the excess oil from your scalp, and then rinse in the shower.
Apple cider vinegar will remove build up from styling products and conditioners and strengthen the hair shaft, leaving you with soft, shiny strands. It will also balance hair’s pH level, kill bacteria, and is a cure for dandruff.

DRY, flaky scalp hair — Banana, Honey and Almond
Mash together 1/2 a ripe banana and add two tablespoons of honey and a few drops of almond oil and allow it to set with a shower cap on for 20 minutes before rinsing.
Bananas can increase the moisture of your hair, smooth frizz and soothe your itchy scalp.

The moon blocked out the sun in a total solar eclipse today, briefly turning dawn back into night over parts of northern Australia and the southern Pacific Ocean. The total solar eclipse began just after sunrise local time Wednesday (Nov. 14) in northern Australia, thrilling nearly 50,000 spectators who had flocked to the tropical city of Cairns to witness the event. It was the first total solar eclipse in Australia in a decade and the last eclipse of its kind that humans will see until 2015.

)o( WORDS OF WITCHES )o(

~ by Doreen Valiente (image)

Hear now the words of the witches,
The secrets we hid in the night,
When dark was our destiny's pathway,
That now we bring forth into light.
Mysterious water and fire,
The earth and the wide-ranging air,
By hidden quintessence we know them,
And will and keep silent and dare.
The birth and rebirth of all nature,
The passing of winter and spring,
We share with the life universal,
Rejoice in the magical ring.
Four times in the year the Great Sabbat
Returns, and the witches are seen
At Lammas and Candlemas dancing,
On May Eve and old Hallowe'en.
When day-time and night-time are equal,
When sun is at greatest and least,
The four Lesser Sabbats are summoned,
And Witches gather in feast.
Thirteen silver moons in a year are,
Thirteen is the coven's array.
Thirteen times at Esbat make merry,
For each golden year and a day.
The power that was passed down the age,
Each time between woman and man,
Each century unto the other,
Ere time and the ages began.
When drawn is the magical circle,
By sword or athame of power,
Its compass between two worlds lies,
In land of the shades for that hour.
This world has no right then to know it.
And world of beyond will tell naught.
The oldest of Gods are invoked there,
The Great Work of magic is wrought.
For the two are mystical pillars,
That stand at the gate of the shrine,
And two are the powers of nature,
The forms and the forces divine.
The dark and the light in succession,
The opposites each unto each,
Shown forth as a God and a Goddess:
Of this our ancestors teach.
By night he's the wild winds rider,
The Horn'd One, the Lord of the Shades.
By day he's the King of the Woodland,
The dweller in green forest glades.
She is youthful or old as she pleases,
She sails the torn clouds in her barque,
The bright silver lady of midnight,
The crone who weaves spells in the dark.
The master and mistress of magic,
That dwell in the deeps of the mind,
Immortal and ever-renewing,
With power to free or to bind.
So drink the good wine to the Old Gods,
And Dance and make love in their praise,
Till Elphame's fair land shall receive us
In peace at the end of our days.
And Do What You Will be the challenge,
So be it Love that harms none,
For this is the only commandment.
By Magic of old, be it done!

Dragon, Power Animal, Symbol of Transformation, Infinity, Wisdom

Dragon's medicine includes change and transformation, wisdom, infinity, longevity and movement through space, supernatural.

Celtic tradition may give specific qualities for dragons of the elements of earth, fire, water, and air, however, in general terms, Dragon's power is that of shedding its skin and coming out as a new, transformed being. The dragon gives provides us with fierce protection and possesses inherent magic, adding extra power to any magic you may perform. Dragon represents the supernatural and infinite self.

In Celtic Tradition:

The Fire Dragon is a symbol of transmutation, energy and mastery, if this is your power animal you will be lent enthusiasm, courage and vitality. Your inner fire will be fueled. You will be helped to overcome obstacles. You will be given the qualities of leadership and mastery. The fire dragon can also be a strong protector.

The Air Dragon brings insight, inspiration and vitality. This power animal must be handled with the greatest of respect. With this power animal, large flashes of illumination in intellect and psyche are possible. Insight and clarity will be given for all problems. As always - trust your inner voice.

The Earth Dragon brings potential, power and riches. You will be shown your potential and your riches - what you are capable of. With the earth dragons assistance, you may discover the beauty and power that lies within you, within us all. The earth dragon resides deep within the Earth and can aid you in grounding scattered energies. When you call on him for help, think of a slowly paced heavy dragon pulling himself toward you. Feel his weight surrounding you. He will nurture you like Mother Earth does.

The Water Dragon brings connection, depth and passion. The water dragon as power animal brings memories and wishes, perhaps long forgotten yet hidden, to the fore. By squaring up with painful past experiences, a sense of peace and balance can be achieved in our lives. The water dragon will give you the courage and compassion in this challenge.

The college pursuit for the Bachelor's of Science in Alternative Medicine may have to wait, or may start... I suppose it requires me to be up in the day to be able to speak to my adviser. I knew college was expensive but I didn't think there would be an online school more expensive than Kaplan! Show some love!

I could have sworn that I put something up about it, but I did receive my Reiki I certification in the summer (July) and am willing to start treating. Most who I have worked with before knows energy work so their bodies may be more susceptible to the method.

I'm on Facebook, pretty much 24-7. So you can imagine how disturbed I was to see Don Henrie all upset, and spewing hate at Eli Roth, --whom I maybe have been mistakenly admiring for a while. If you're a fan of vampires and have no clue who Don Henrie is, first of all, shame on you. The man is hotter...
