Dear Valued Patients,
A couple of years ago, we shared a nice way to gather all of your Emergency medications into one box as your child goes to school, daycare, and after school programs.
You can put into the box the following:
*Epi Pens twinpack,
*Liquid Benadryl, Zyrtec, Or Claritin,
*Albuterol Inhaler,
*School forms,
*sharpie pen (to write time of reaction, name of patient, Date of birth and allergen on forearm),
*small measuring cup for liquid medicines,
*3 cc syringe for drawing up liquid medication for young children (without needle!)
*Small pen and paper,
*Label with child's name, Date of Birth, emergency contact name, their phone number and food allergen.
We hope this helps you as you are preparing for this school year!!
Listed are pictures of Epinephrine Pen devices from different companies. Some of these devices may and may not be on the Preferred Medication list on your insurance.
We can help you with the necessary prescriptions so your child will be ready in the event of an unfortunate exposure.

On Sunday, we were enjoying the beautiful day outdoors near Central overlooking the East side and Central El Paso. The mountain is quite beautiful and green this time of year!!
Have you seen how colorful our Franklin Mountains have become?
Temporarily, our Pollen counts will be low due to the moisture from our recent rains. .
Just know that the molds favor the wet, cool soil. The Grasses, Weeds, and Some trees love the water and will grow quite fast in this weather!
When we start seeing drier days, the Pollen counts will also return.
In the pictures, We captured a dust storm arriving before the storms this past Sunday.
Unfortunately, we cant escape the dust, but we can help you if the dust and pollen trigger your Asthma or Allergies!!

Dear Valued Patients,
Have you seen the smoke coming into El Paso the past 2 days from fires in New Mexico?
We captured it on the westside at Sunset last evening and this morning around 8am.
For patients with Asthma, this can trigger your Asthma Symptoms.
Coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, etc.
If you find the smoke from the New Mexico fires are triggering your Asthma,

Dear Valued Patients, we have posted this before as a reminder that heat can make someone very sick!!
There are 2 events that can happen in the High Heat.
Heat Exhaustian and Heat Stroke.
Both need immediate attention with Heat Stroke needing Immediate Emergency attention.
If you plan to spend some time outdoors, please go before 10am and after 6pm. The Sun is at its hottest then.
Drink plenty of fluids. Water AND Gatorade, Powerade, Pedialyte. You need more than water to be hydrated.
Avoid sodas with high sugar and alcohol when outdoors as it can further dehydration.
Get electrolyte powders like Liquid IV, Gatorade Lyte, Pedialyte packs, to put in your water to help prevent dehydration.
Get Fans with misters that can help keep you cool.
Stay out of direct sunlight!! Under Shade is much cooler.
Wear a hat and wear light colored clothing.
If you find yourself without A/C at your home, please go to the nearest cooling station.
The City of El Paso will be posting locations soon!
Recognize the signs, save your loved ones!!
Please, please, please dont leave your Precious Children and wonderful pets in the car/SUV!!
Look in the backseat!!
Every car ride, every time you open the car!!
