KNOCKING OUT HUNGER – We are thrilled to share our Healthy Over Hungry Cereal Drive was a huge success thanks to our team and our many, many community partners who all came together to help fight food insecurity. Together, we collected 560,000 servings of cereal to help make mornings a little brighter for local families in need this summer. All donations benefitted the El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank. Thank you for stepping up and making a difference!

Today, our team is working to fill a need for our community and we officially kicked off our Healthy Over Hungry Cereal Drive to ensure children and families in need have a healthy breakfast option this summer. Right now, in our community over 185,000 low-income children rely on assisted meals or food from the El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank, and roughly 1 in 3 people faced food insecurity just this past year. We challenge our leaders, businesses, schools and community to join us in our efforts to stock the El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank.

WE HAVE A GRADUATE - After 307 days in our Level IV NICU, baby Ruben has officially graduated as a NICU grad. Baby Ruben has shown he might be small, but he is definitely mighty, being born at only 23 weeks and 6 days gestation and weighing in at only 1lb4oz, he has overcome many challenges to grow big and strong. With his NICU nurses by his side, baby Ruben officially received his graduation diploma with his joyful mom and dad, who have been anxiously awaiting this big day. Baby Ruben heads home now weighing in at 14lbs and a cheerful, healthy and happy baby. We wish the Carrillo family and baby Ruben much love and happiness.

A true friend, advocate and philanthropist – Year after year, Angel Gomez – Operation Hope, came to our hospital to support our patients, their families and our staff. He would visit with the goal to help those in need, spread cheer where he could, and to ensure others were always taken care of. It is with a heavy heart we learn of the passing of our friend Angel and say goodbye to a community inspiration. Thank you Angel for your tireless work and efforts that touched the lives of so many.
