Our role is not only to provide glasses, contacts or refractive surgery to improve visual function, but also to educate our patients as to which lenses that will best enhance their vision. We treat and diagnose several aspects of eye care such as inflammation associated with ocular allergies, pink eye, dry eyes, cataracts, diabetic eye evaluations, as well as remove foreign objects from eyes. Surgical ServicesOur surgeon provides highly unique services to the area such as corneal transplants, pupil reconstruction, complicated cataract surgery, multifocal intraocular lens implants, astigmatism correcting intraocular lens implants, and refractive surgery. Ramirez is the only Cornea, Anterior Segment and Refractive Surgery trained physician in the area of El Paso. He provides experience in the pre-operative evaluation, performance and post-operative care of the full spectrum of cornea and anterior segment surgical procedures. These include penetrating and lamellar keratoplasty, limbal stem cell and amniotic membrane transplantation, complex cataract and intraocular lens surgery, anterior segment reconstruction, early and late repair of corneal trauma and refractive surgery (PRK/LASEK, LASIK and incisional procedures), management of infectious and inflammatory corneal conditions as well as ocular surface and unusual anterior segment disorders. Primary Care Services
We provide primary ophthalmic care such as routine eye examinations, contact lens fittings, visual field evaluations, ocular photography, glaucoma management, pachymetry, pre and post operative care to cataract and refractive surgery. Our eye examis three fold: we look at the health of the front part of your eye, evaluate your vision and visual comfort according to your needs, and also dilate your eyes to better look at your retina for sight and overall health conditions that can affect your vision. Contact Lens Services
We fit and prescribe all major brands of soft and rigid contact lenses as well as service those who have difficulty or unusual contact lens fitting needs or problems. Additionally, we co-manage with patient’s related corneal disease and keratoplasty. We have the latest in bifocal/progressive contact lenses as well as: daily disposable, continuous wear, color contact lenses and custom made lenses. We will also manage keratoconus patients with corneal topography and provide an extensive corneal evaluation. If you are concerned about insertion and removal of contact lenses, we will work with you one on one, and spend as much time as necessary teaching you how to handle your new lenses. With three main goals in mind: good vision, great comfort, and excellent ocular health, you are guaranteed a successful contact lens evaluation. Optical Services
We fit ophthalmic prescriptions and offer exclusive fashionable eyewear that is not available anywhere else in El Paso. Our optician assists patients in their selection of frames as well as adjusts and repairs glasses as necessary.
