Our Story
We are primarily a heated Studio here at Hot Box Yoga. We find that a heated room warms the body and allows for deeper relaxation, greater flexibility, and increased detoxification/cleansing. Due to the dry desert environment we also add humidity to our classes. Working in the heat helps the body relax, improves breathing (which helps conditions like asthma) and focuses the mind, which develops better mental concentration. Our HOT classes are heated at a temperature around 95-100 degrees with about 40-45 % humidity. Our WARM classes are heated at a temperature around 80 - 85 degrees with about 30-35 % humidity. Note: We do not currently offer the full Bikram series here, however we do have a variety of heated classes such as Power, Vinyasa, and Hot Stretch. Non Heated Classes We also offer the full Rocket Yoga series here at Hot Box. These classes are non heated and are practiced in a room temperature setting. Rocket yoga is a modified form of yoga based off of the primary, intermediate and advanced series of Ashtanga. The Rocket sequences (I, Bottle Rocket,& Rocket Mix) are sure to boost strength, flexibility and the bodies vital energies and create a spike in the nervous system. This is good for people who are feeling drained from work or stress or from family or social responsibilities. Students are encouraged to make their practice all their own making the practice in particular accessible to ALL.
