During National Cancer Prevention Month, the story of first responder Nicole Walls highlights why early detection and proactive care matter.
“If sharing my story encourages even one person to advocate for themselves or get checked, then every hard moment was worth it,” Walls said.

❤️ This Valentine’s Day, we’re celebrating a partnership grounded in a shared commitment to healing and service.

Dr. Joshua Ekladios and Dr. Marina Tony, husband-and-wife fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeons, have joined Texas Tech Health El Paso to address a growing need for complex lower-extremity care in our Borderplex.

With nearly 15% of adults in El Paso County living with diabetes, the need for limb preservation, wound management and advanced reconstruction is significant. Their goal is to reduce preventable amputations, restore mobility and expand access to specialized treatment close to home.

In addition to caring for patients at Texas Tech Physicians of El Paso, they contribute to the academic mission of Texas Tech Health El Paso by educating medical students and orthopaedic residents.

All Texas Tech Physicians of El Paso clinics and the Texas Tech Dental Oral Health Clinic will maintain their regular hours of operation and open at their regularly scheduled time.

Patients who have questions or concerns about their appointment should contact the clinic front office directly.
