Cancer and Chronic Disease Consortium of El Paso We are a non-profit organization focused on providing services including, but not limited to preventi

The services we offer include, but are not limited to providing breast and cervical screening for qualifying women in El Paso County and West Texas. We also process medicaid for breast and cervical cancer through the state. We have trained educators to provide culturally appropriate cancer education and information, to teach the concept of health and disease prevention. We help individuals manage chronic illness by screening, treatment, and follow-up. Through a network of providers, we facilitate access to: breast and cervical cancer screening and treatment for women.

Invitamos a sobrevivientes de cancer en nuestra comunidad a participar en el proximo taller CCDC #12 del programa Vida Activa Despues del Cancer. Fecha de inicio Miercoles 22 de Mayo de 10am a 12:00pm. Si usted es sobreviviente, familiar o cuidador de un/una sobreviviente y desea mas informacion, llamar a nuestras oficinas al (915) 771-6305 registro abierto.
ALAC consists of a series of 12-session group intervention which focuses on building behavioral skill training to increase moderate-intensity physical activity. The program encourages participants to incorporate short bouts of moderate intensity physical activity and include training in cognitive and behavioral skills for behavior change and guided discussion sessions covering a survivorship topic such as coping with fatigue, lymphedema, nutrition, fear of recurrence, body image, and relationship issues after cancer.
Vida Activa después del Cáncer es un programa educativo de 12 sesiones y esta centrado en la construcción de habilidades conductuales para aumentar la actividad física. Ayuda a incorporar espacios pequeños de actividad física de intensidad moderada en su rutina diaria. Además incluye capacitación en habilidades cognitivas y conductuales para modificar conductas y una discusión guiada sobre temas relacionados a la sobrevivencia como; la fatiga, linfedema, nutrición, la comunicación y las relaciones con su equipo médico y técnicas para manejar el estrés creado por el miedo a la recurrencia
