Purple Up For Military Kids! 💜

If you see us wearing purple it's for military kids! Each April, we encourage people to wear purple in honor of Month of the Military Child.

Why purple? According to the National Military Family Association (https://bit.ly/4cHyDoR), purple represents all service branches by blending each branch’s colors, including the blues of the Air Force, Navy, Space Force, and Coast Guard, the Army’s green, and the Marines’ red. Wearing purple is a symbol of unity for military children across all services and a reminder that they are seen, supported, and celebrated.

Administrative Professionals Week is the perfect time to recognize the people who keep everything running behind the scenes - we truly couldn’t do this work without them.

From welcoming clients with care and compassion to keeping schedules on track and supporting our clinical team each day, our administrative professionals are at the heart of what we do. They’re often the first friendly voice someone hears and the steady presence that helps make our clinic feel safe and supportive.

Earlier this week, we celebrated their dedication, professionalism, and the many ways they show up for our clients and for all of us.

Child therapy can be highly beneficial for children and their families. In therapy, both parents and children discuss the challenges the child is facing, with a focus on setting goals tailored to their needs. As seen in these photos of our child therapy space, therapists often use creative approaches, such as play and art therapy, to make sessions both engaging and effective. These methods help children build the skills and tools they need to better understand and manage their emotions and experiences.

Are you headed to the Fabens Veterans Memorial Ribbon Cutting Ceremony that starts at 2:30 this afternoon? Stop by to say hello to our Clinic Community Liaison Tom Moran. Tom has a table set up at the resource fair at Fabens Veterans Park and joins the community is celebrating this special occasion.

For those who may be unfamiliar, the Fabens Veterans Memorial honors the courage and sacrifice of those who have served in the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Air Force, and Space Force. As part of El Paso County - known as the Veterans Capital of the U.S.A. - this memorial reflects a strong and ongoing commitment to those who have worn the uniform.

💜 Just like our colleagues with The Parenting STAIR Program, we’re committed to lifting up military families.

That is why we’ve partnered to offer military-connected moms the opportunity to participate in this innovative mental health and parenting program delivered through our Texas clinics. (You can be located anywhere in the state to participate!)

With PSTAIR, moms can learn effective ways to manage tough emotions, build stronger relationships, and improve how they show up for their kiddos.

Participation in the study includes flexible, individualized treatment sessions (typically 3–4 months), three online assessments, and compensation of up to $150 in Amazon gift cards.
