El Paso Child Guidance Center

El Paso Child Guidance Center Since 1954, we have provided our community effective, efficient and compassionate mental health care. No client is ever turned away due to an inability to pay.

Our Mission
Improving the health and well-being of children and families in a safe environment through mental health services, education, and awareness. Our Vision
Transforming the Borderland by advancing mental health to foster healing and a stigma-free environment. What we do
Since 1954, we have provided our community effective, efficient and compassionate mental health care. The Center serves a

nyone ages two to adulthood who is experiencing mental health challenges. Mental Health starts with ME. When you take the first step, the El Paso Child Guidance Center harnesses the power of WE in wellness, and provides clients a complete mental healthcare team tailored to their needs. As a team, together, our clients are provided effective, efficient, compassionate wrap-around care, never the run-around. The Center provides coordinated mental wellness, prevention, therapy, and psychiatry. Our highly trained, multidisciplinary team of therapists, professional counselors, clinical social workers, psychiatrists and care coordinators are ready to help you begin your journey to mental wellness. You are not alone on this journey to healing. We offer in-person and telehealth appointments. The Center accepts Medicaid and most private insurances. Services are also provided on a sliding scale based on a family’s income. Grant-funded services are sometimes available for those without insurance and who cannot afford payment.

We were honored to welcome an international delegation through the El Paso Council for International Visitors to the El Paso Child Guidance Center on May 15th, 2026 as part of the Inter-Regional Project for Africa.

Representatives from Angola, Cabo Verde, Mozambique, Namibia, and Seychelles visited our center to learn more about our programs that support children and families in our community.

It was a privilege to share ideas, foster meaningful conversations, and connect with professionals from around the world who are committed to strengthening services and support systems within their communities.

Thank you for visiting EPCGC and allowing us the opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences together. 🌎💚

🌊 Grief comes in waves.

At first, it feels like they never stop.
It crashes over you without warning.
You’re just trying to breathe.

Then, slowly…
the waves begin to space out.
You find moments of air in between.
But even later—
a song, a memory, a random moment—
and another wave hits.

Not because you’re “back at square one.”
Not because you’re doing it wrong.
But because grief doesn’t disappear.
It softens. It shifts. It stays with you in different ways.
And that’s okay 🤍

You don’t have to sit with this alone help is out there. Call us at 915-562-1999.
