Here’s a little about my approach to therapy: Therapy with me is collaborative and direct - I figure you’ll be more invested in treatment and motivated to progress if you’re the one determining what you need. And if you don’t know yet, that’s fine because we can figure it out together. Goals often evolve as we go (and grow). I like to use humor in therapy, and I always focus on the connection I have with the client. At the end of the day, holding a non-judgemental space for my clients is often what means the most.

I work mainly from Attachment-based, Person-Centered, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral frameworks. I integrate interventions from these theories and others to meet your unique needs. I also use a multicultural lens; this means I attend to cultural and systemic factors, such as race, gender, class, size, sexual orientation, religion, ability, and contexts of power, oppression, privilege, and others. With a collaborative and authentic approach, I'll both challenge you and honor your pace. I’m not a fixer, but I will draw from evidence-based and trauma-informed care to help you help yourself.

I specialize in relationships - the ones between you and the world, you and others, you and yourself, and even the one between you and me. Research has shown that the best predictor of positive outcomes in therapy is the relationship between therapist and client. With this at the center of our work, my hope is for you to feel safe, supported, and understood.

I also specialize in trauma and all that may come along with - be it anger, suicidal thoughts, and/or addiction. My priority is to establish safety within the therapeutic relationship, so that clients can seek harmony between their minds and bodies. I’m especially passionate about attachment-based, family, and systemic trauma. More on that to come.
