Got to catch up with my buddy who was back at The Mecca to finalize selling his house as he relocated out of Cali.
Brad has had an amazing life transformation and is a very grounded individual. Just talking to him makes you feel better!
If you aren’t following Brad, and his awesome dog, you should be! Great guy and look forward to his next return!

Big shout out to my new friend who’s is a former pro-football coach,including a stint as the head coach of the in Canada, but now works on helping executives with work.
He has a great book called The Crush-It Formula out that I would highly recommend! Feed your brain!

I texted my friend last week to congratulate him on running over 365 days consistently. I was telling him how much he inspired me for my Sunday running at Gold’s Venice.
As I continue to lose weight I am able to do more things and my weekly 5k on a treadmill is one of them. And I love it!
But what I love even more is when I can congratulate a friend on their achievements as well! Don’t be afraid to let a friend know that you think they are doing an amazing job!
By the way, I highly recommend you check out his videos if you want some of the coolest running perspective ever!

So great to be able to hang with my buddy Marc LaBelle the singer of the amazing band last night game!
Met Marc through his manager a couple of years back. Mark and I have sat next to each with season tix since 2007! Both are great guys and it is always such a fun night!
If you haven’t checked out Dirty Honey you need to as their music will blow you away!
Get around amazing people and have some fun!

My series on friends who helped me move ahead this year continues today with Robert
Kennedy. Recently, I announced I was integrating my diabetes cause into his team but this goes back way further than that.
When I first told him about my quest to talk to school boards this year he gave me great
advice. . .”passion. . .don’t ever lose your passion for that.” Arnold told me to think big and Robert constantly checks to make sure I am as passionate as ever, about it.
People say a lot about him, but I will tell you what I know. . .he is often one of the last people I talk to when I leave LA to go on my business trips. And with that said, he is constantly asking me about my health. He always asks me about my type 2 diabetes.
Funny story, Robert is another who has bodyguards with him. Over time they have gotten to know that we are friends (except for the Secret Service guys who always made me nervous).
The day I told him I had finally dumped insulin (after being on over 7,000 units a month), he was so elated that he punched me in the chest. I thought for sure I was going to get jumped lol.
But that says a lot about Robert and what he wants to do. He wants the next 10 years to be his
legacy, like his father and uncle before him. From all of our conversations I can tell you that he really cares.
I can also tell you I am happy to support him and have no fear, I won’t lose my passion!

Continuing in my series of people who have helped me move ahead over the past year, I want to talk about Arnold Schwarzenegger. Growing up in Winnipeg, as teens, my friends and I would lift weights after school at the St. James YMCA which was a dungeon but we loved it. And, of course, we all followed Arnold and his journey through the magazines as he climbed his success ladder.
With that said I don’t have to tell you how impressed I was the first time I spoke to him at Gold’s Gym in Venice.
Earlier this year I did a partial shoulder workout with him. His bodyguard stood over us to prevent people from taking pictures of him. I told him about an initiative that I have to talk to school boards about lunchtime nutrition. He thought about it for a minute then he said to me. . .”I don’t want you to think of this project as small, I want you to think big. . .bigger than you are thinking about it right now. Just think big about this.” I have had many conversations with him about a lot of things over time, but the one thing he always reminds me of to think big. That always sticks with me.
I was thinking big after school at the Y as a kid in Canada. And Arnold reminds me that is how I got to the point of getting in front of him. Think big!

So now in hospitals and health clinics across the nation but I didn’t get here without some help!
Thank you to .venice and .bevsgym along with and gyms for providing me the great equipment and environments to stay healthy in. This is a team sport and I am so happy to be creating awareness for and we need to keep this train rolling!

For all of my health friends, huge announcement…we finally have a voice!
Spent some time with Robert Kennedy yesterday to the point we were texting last night! I told him about the messages I have been getting from many of you who have hit me up about helping so I am going to integrate to his team and mobilize all of you who want to help and make an impact about and health! This is our chance to make a serious and lasting impact to make a difference in this country! Let’s stop talking about it and do it!
DM me of anything you want tabled…let’s make real change! Let’s create awareness and positivity! This is our chance to be heard and let’s go get it! Let’s make reversing type 2 diabetes cool!

This isn’t a political post but a health one. The first day I met Robert Kennedy at Gold’s Gym I told him I didn’t have to agree with everything he said, but I sure respected him for trying to make change in the country. He thanked me for saying that and we have been friends ever since.
His passion for health is beyond anyone else’s I know. He is always asking me about my type two diabetes and my journey. For some reason, he likes to punch me in the chest when I tell him about my weight loss and off of insulin lol.
This year I have an initiative to speak to as many school boards as I possibly can about lunchtime nutrition of kids. Robert is always asking me what I’ve done and where am I at with the project.? The one thing he always stresses to me is for me not to lose my passion about it, and he always checks on it with me . He also always checks on my health.
When he talks about his desire to make the country healthy, he isn’t kidding. He is living and breathing this and every conversation we have revolves around it.
If there’s one thing I can say about Robert Kennedy is that his passion is real and he’s about to get to work on it. This is going to be interesting to see and I’m really glad I’ve gotten to know him.
