We had such a special time celebrating two of our sweet ladies:

A huge thank you to DaySpring Hospice for hosting such a wonderful March Birthday Party for our residents.

Your love and support never go unnoticed, and we are so grateful for all that you do for our community.

Our residents truly are something special. On their own, they went above and beyond to celebrate Payton’s 16th birthday, and it meant more than words can express. It was a beautiful reminder that here at Serenity South, we are more than a community, we are family.

Today our lobby was filled with laughter, smiles, and a little extra Irish spirit. ☘️

We held our St. Patrick’s Day Parade right here in the facility, where we decorated and “fancied up” their walkers and wheelchairs to celebrate the occasion.

The parade itself may have only lasted about 30 seconds, but the joy it brought lasted far longer.

Seeing their smiles, hearing the laughter, and receiving so many heartfelt “thank yous” never goes unnoticed.

Moments like these remind me exactly why we do what we do.

A very special thank you to Brooke from CenterWell Home Health and Michelle from DaySpring Hospice for always going above and beyond to help make these moments so special for our residents. Your kindness and dedication truly mean the world to us.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…..we are incredibly blessed with the best community partners around.

There’s something about a special day that makes you watch the door a little more closely.

You wake up knowing the day means something… and throughout the day you find yourself looking out the window, listening for footsteps in the hallway, hoping to hear that familiar knock on the door.

Sometimes you wait a while.

Sometimes you wonder if maybe everyone just got busy.

So you go back to your room, lay down, and try not to think about it too much.

And then… the door opens.

In walks the people who mean the most little hands reaching in for hugs, big smiles filling the room, laughter that instantly changes everything.

In that moment the waiting doesn’t matter anymore.

Because the truth is, it’s not about how long it took… it’s about knowing that when the moment comes, your family will show up and remind you just how loved you truly are.

And if you could bottle up the joy in this room today, it would look exactly like this. ❤️

Do you ever stop and wonder how God places the right people in the right place at exactly the right time?

Yesterday was one of those moments, and my heart is incredibly thankful.

A minor incident occurred, but by God’s grace, Angela Bivins was exactly where she needed to be.

Without hesitation, she stepped in and knew to call me right away. As an Administrator, I cannot express how grateful I am that she was there in that moment.

Today, Angela even stopped back by to check on our sweet resident and make sure she was doing well. Not only that, she brought a little extra encouragement and kindness with her something that meant more than she probably realizes.

Moments like these remind us that there are truly angels walking among us every day.

Angela, thank you for being that angel when we needed one. Your kindness and quick action did not go unnoticed, and we are so grateful. 💛
