Lab results can feel like a foreign language, but understanding your cholesterol and A1C levels is key to protecting your heart and managing diabetes risk.

Cholesterol:
➡️ LDL ("bad") should be low
➡️ HDL ("good") should be higher

Triglycerides matter, too
A1C:
This number reflects your average blood sugar over the past 3 months. A high A1C may signal prediabetes or diabetes, even if you feel fine.

Your provider will explain what these numbers mean for you and what steps can help improve them over time.
