I want to take a minute to brag on our maintenance superhero, Terry. If something breaks, buzzes, leaks, jams, or decides it just doesn’t want to cooperate anymore—Terry is already halfway there with his toolbox. He keeps our building running, our electronics alive, and our residents taken care of like it’s a superpower.

But the best part? Terry brings so much joy to our residents. His funny personality, quick one-liners, and that “I’ll fix it, don’t worry” charm are things we all love about him. Sometimes he fixes things, sometimes he cooks amazing meals, sometimes he climbs onto the roof in crazy weather on his day off… and sometimes he just makes everyone laugh—which is its own kind of magic.

Terry is a man of many talents, a whole lot of heart, and a sense of humor that keeps Rock Island Village smiling. We appreciate him more than he knows!

There’s nothing more special than coming together to celebrate the season with loved ones. We had our first family join us to decorate a tree, and it was such a joyful experience—thank you to Minette for making sure every detail was perfect!

Tomorrow may not be Thanksgiving, but it is a day that means so much to me — a day dedicated to celebrating our Residents and their families.

As my first year as Administrator, this moment touches me deeply. I want to sincerely thank every Resident and every family member for trusting me and our staff with the privilege of caring for you and your loved ones.

Every day, I put my heart and soul into ensuring that each Resident is respected, valued, and treated with dignity. To me, this community is more than a place of care — it is family. ❤️
