👋🏻 Our office hours will be a little different in the next few weeks:

The week of 3/9: normal hours

The week of 3/16:
Monday 3/16: Drs. Zak & Emily- 8 am-5 pm
Tuesday 3/17: Dr. Zak 8 am-2 pm; Dr. Emily 8 am-12 pm
Wed 3/18-Fri 3/20: Closed

We will be back open our normal hours the following week (the week of 3/23). If you’ve been meaning to set up an appointment, please give us a call sooner than later at 641-939-3831, and we will do our best to fit you into our schedule. 😊

We now offer shockwave therapy in our office and have been seeing great results in many of our patients dealing with chronic issues.

Shockwave therapy treats chronic conditions by delivering penetrating shockwaves deep into soft tissue, inducing microtrauma and triggering a new inflammatory response. This prompts the body’s natural healing mechanisms. The emitted energy also stimulates cells to release biochemicals, enhancing healing and fostering the formation of new blood vessels in the treated area.

A few common conditions or areas we have treated with shockwave therapy:

-tennis/golfer’s elbow
-carpal tunnel
-plantar fasciitis
-shoulder issues
-Achilles tendonopathy
-knee issues

In the spirit of Valentines weekend, our office has its own love story. 💕 Many of you may know we are a husband-wife team, and if you didn’t, here’s our story: Drs. Zak and Emily met while attending chiropractic school in Minnesota, introduced through mutual friends and a shared student organization. After many dates at the MOA watching movies, day trips exploring around the twin cities (a favorite cross country skiing at Wood Lake), and watching their favorite sports teams together, they got engaged in Laguna Beach, CA on the beach at sunset in January of 2015. They were married that August in Dr. Emily’s hometown, shortly after Dr. Zak took over the practice in Eldora. Over 10 years of marriage later they still enjoy working together, going on adventures outside of the office big and small, and raising 3 wonderful kids in our community. ☺️

Dr. Zak spent 3 days over this last weekend learning to help further his knowledge in treating his patients. He learned from two prominent chiropractors in the collegiate and professional ranks. They talked about how they integrate chiropractic care into elite athletics and taught new techniques on how to prep athletes before competition and help in recovery/rehab after competition. Dr. Zak also learned about how to properly fuel the energy needs for athletes of all ages. At Eldora Family Chiropractic we are always working to increase our knowledge to better treat all of our patients.

Dr. Zak will be back in the office tomorrow morning at 8 am refreshed and ready to serve you! 👐🏻

Hi! We are two chiropractors passionate about bettering the health of our community and its future. We met at chiropractic school and chose Eldora to settle in and raise our family, while carrying on the rich chiropractic tradition before us. We understand the challenges that are faced by individuals today, particularly those living in rural areas, as we both hail from small Midwestern towns. We strive to keep informed on the latest knowledge that will allow us to better serve you and your family and always aim to be patient-centered in our care, serving you with integrity and honesty.
