Just when you thought the severe cold weather had you safe from disease-carrying insects, you unfortunately thought wrong.
”Mr.” Dr. King went for a hike through the woods today and brought back several of these on his clothes.
TICKS are obviously very hardy!
In addition to the “host” of problems they can cause in your pet, humans can have severe issues as well, including but not limited to Rocky Mountain spotted fever, Lyme disease, and alpha-gal (red meat) allergy.
The remedy?
Talk to your veterinarian about prevention and treatment options for your pet.

Hopefully, we won’t have major issues this weekend, but a couple of things to remember:
It pays to be prepared…see the attached photo for some suggestions.
Please don’t call 911 if your power goes out…see the attached photo to determine who you need to call in the event of an outage.
Also, please be patient if service is interrupted, I can guarantee you the lineman that are on call will do the best they can to get power restored asap.
NOTE - We will post updates on this page in the event we have to modify our regular schedule.
Lastly, it looks like it’s going to get very cold, so please take care of your pets!

Happy New Year to everyone!
But, did you know that 1 in 5 pets go missing during a fireworks celebration?
As such, please take every precaution during tonight’s festivities!
Here (see photo) are just a few good tips that will help.
Note - there are also some calming medications that can help ease the stress and trauma caused by pyrotechnics (contact your veterinarian), but please also make sure your pet is microchipped (just in case it runs away).
Oh yeah…thanks to Archie for modeling.
