Amy Bushey Juran LCPC Mental Health and Family Counseling - New Beginnings Counseling Care

Mental Health Counseling

Amy Bushey Juran is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. She received her MA in Counseling Psychology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and a BA in Psychology and Biblical Studies from Bryan College. I view my job as offering understanding and care that inspires hope through encouraging and equipping people to grow. Therapy within a supportive and relational environment allows for people to experience genuinely being known. I seek to offer clients a new experience of peace and joy in the midst of change and trials that are painful. I get to support and see people making long-term changes that enhance their life, allow them to receive healing, unconditional love, and impact the lives of those around them. I enjoy connecting with any individual and family, understanding, and deeply caring about others as I walk alongside them in their journey. I help to bring new hope to people by highlighting their strengths and potential, describing a vision of the best life they want, and helping them utilize tools to take steps towards their goals. I bring hope to my community by volunteering at my local church and caring for each person I encounter in whatever way I can. I am a Christian counselor who enjoys integrating faith in God into therapy and supervision for those who desire their faith to be involved in their counseling or training process.

Setting boundaries is vital to the health of our relationships, and it often takes practice.

As Gottman Bringing Baby Home Educator Nicole Schiener (Peace and Possibility) shares: "Learning what I don’t want has helped me get more clear about what I do want. I have learned to express my needs respectfully to family, friends, and colleagues instead of suffering in silence."

How have boundaries improved your relationships?

Many relationship conflicts are rooted in your deepest hopes and wishes for your own life and the life you share together. When your dreams come into conflict, it's an opportunity to start important conversations with your partner and grow as a team.
