It’s VOTING DAY! If you live in Eliot, here are some good suggestions by way of ! Please, please consider voting NO on number 10. In light of all the violence in our world, passing an ordinance that allows shooting ranges on 3 acres or more is careless, unnecessary and insensitive. Eliot already has a shooting range and we are a small community. One is enough. https://www.instagram.com/p/CzWcmKgLcDH/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

Introducing Ellie Masson! The newest Shilo Farm teacher!
Ellie is teaching a Gentle Flow class every Sunday at 4pm. Please come and give her a warm welcome to the Shilo Farm Community!
Here’s Ellie’s story!
Ellie (she/her) teaches yoga as a way to facilitate community and practice collective care. Ellie believes that yoga gives us the tools to build a deeper practice of self reflection and self care, so that we can engage in collective care for our communities. In Ellie’s classes, you can expect to find a space to pause, check-in, and respond to your inner experience through the body and the breath. Whether you need space to connect to your physical, spiritual, or emotional body, Ellie hopes to offer a variety of options and entry-points for you to practice in a way that feels nourishing. She is inspired to theme classes in response to the natural and social world.
Ellie’s personal practice and sharing of yoga is deeply intertwined with social justice. She understands yoga as a practice of collective liberation and is driven to keep learning, practicing, and facilitating these ancient and evolving teachings. She is humbled and grateful to live during a time where she is able to learn from many yoga and embodiment teachers who are also sharing their interpretations of yoga and social justice.
Ellie completed her 200hr Yoga Teacher training with Sangha Studio in Burlington, Vermont in June 2021 and has also completed training and courses on Yoga Nidra, the Yoga Sutras, Skill in Action, and embodied antiracism through yoga. In her free time, Ellie loves to read and spend time in the ocean or the mountains. She currently lives in Portsmouth, NH with her partner and their dog, Otis.

OUR MISSION: Shilo Farm is an earth, animal and community centric gathering place and health & wellness school intended to inspire and nourish all who visit.
OUR VISION: Our vision began in 2012 with an impulse to listen with all of our senses, to what this private, wooded 6 acre parcel 4 miles from historic Portsmouth, NH desired to become.
We started with monthly community fires, potlucks and seasonal celebrations and are now offering daily health centric community classes, unique workshops & retreats, as well as lodging for travelers. We are most inspired when we connections being made, visions being birthed and opportunities being created. And thus, a community center was born that would be the fertile ground for gathering community and sharing in all our amazing gifts.
Like your traditional CSAs (Community Supported Agriculture), Shilo Farm recognizes itself as a CSC (Community Supported Community ) ripe with opportunity for all who want to be involved.
CHOP WOOD CARRY WATER PHILOSOPHY: We are also a micro farm/homestead that cultivates medicinal plants, herbs and food following permaculture principles of land management. Elderberries are our specialty. We have a small, but growing herd of Nigerian Dwarf goats; with the goal of making goat cheese, offering raw goat milk and soap. We raise organic and free range heritage breed chickens for their eggs and have three rescue cats and a 125 pound Livestock Guardian dog called Shasta. Our property consists of 6 acres of woodland and edible gardens landscapes. We are located in Eliot Maine and are a mere four miles from Historic Portsmouth, NH. Come and pay us a visit!
FOR YOU: The opportunities might vary from personal to professional but it’s here, available and we want to share the richness.
