Our focus is to serve our community as a gathering place for all 12 step recovery programs focusing on addiction and mental health support groups. We support other community service needs as well. We have been home to Alcohol Comprehension Training, ADHD support group. AA, NA, OA, ACOA Al-Anon, Nar-Anon and Depressed Anonymous. We support the annual May Day event in various ways. We maintain a sup
ply of various community service literature that is provided for free. We assist people with rides to meetings, job searches, locating mental health services, social services, food banks and affordable medical help and affordable housing and much more. We have provided meeting space to the American Youth Soccer Org., various other business meetings. We provide a place for people in recovery to go for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day and 4th of July. We also facilitate special recovery events annually. We receive a regular influx of college students sent from several colleges in the area that are seeking degrees in Nursing, Psychology, Addiction Counseling and Social Services Counseling to sit in on various self-help groups to observe the process of people in recovery and get a better understanding of the power of addictions and firsthand testimony of people in all stages of the recovery process.We also receive a large group of PORT Human Services program participants on a weekly basis. People meet here with their sponsors to work the steps in various programs or just socialize with likeminded people. It is with great gratitude to countless people that come and support this project and to the many businesses in town that come and provide repairs and upkeep to the house from the generosity of their hearts. Our goal is to continue to strive to improve our ability to serve and support our recovering community. Together We Get Better. Together We Are Better.
