Chaplain Steve always puts patients and families at the center of his care. This week, we’re recognizing Abygail Bechthold, our newest Intake Coordinator at Albemarle Home Care! Although Abby joined our team just a few months ago, she has already made a meaningful impact.

She quickly grasped the demands of the intake role and has shown a natural ability to balance efficiency, accuracy, and compassion — all essential qualities in supporting both our patients and staff. Her calm, easygoing demeanor, paired with a consistently positive attitude, has made her a welcomed and appreciated presence in the office.

Outside of work, Abby enjoys spending time with animals and baking, which reflects the thoughtful and nurturing qualities she brings to her professional role as well.

Every second counts when it comes to a stroke. Quick action can save lives and reduce long-term damage. Learn the F.A.S.T. acronym and share it with your loved ones:

👉 F – Face drooping: Is one side of the face numb or uneven?
👉 A – Arm or leg weakness: Is one arm or leg weak or numb?
👉 S – Speech difficulty: Is speech slurred or hard to understand?
👉 T – Time to call 911: If you notice any of these signs, even if they go away, call emergency services immediately.
