3-Hour Delay – Monday, December 15

ECPPS will operate on a 3-hour delay tomorrow, Monday, December 15.

This delay is due to:
• The potential for hazardous driving conditions from overnight freezing water on roads and bridges
• A winter weather advisory issued by the National Weather Service for Pasquotank County through tomorrow morning

The ECPPS Transportation Team will assess road conditions at 6:00 a.m. If conditions require a move from a delay to a school closure, an update will be shared by 7:30 a.m.

The safety of our students, staff, and families remains our top priority. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Due to overnight freezing temperatures and the possibility of icy road conditions, ECPPS will operate on a 3 hour delay tomorrow, December 9.

Our Transportation Team will evaluate road conditions tomorrow at 6 a.m. If there is a need to move from delay to school closure, an update will be shared by 7:30 a.m.

Due to the latest forecast calling for additional snow accumulation and the potential for freezing conditions overnight, Perquimans County Schools will operate on a three-hour delay tomorrow. This delay will give temperatures time to rise and allow for safer travel conditions.

We will continue to monitor road conditions early in the morning. If any changes are needed to ensure the safety of our students and staff, we will notify families as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we prioritize safety.

Based on the latest information from the National Weather Service, we are expecting accumulating snowfall tomorrow with 1 to 2 inches possible beginning around 11 AM. In order to keep our students, staff, and families safe, Perquimans County Schools will be closed for students on Monday. All after school activities are canceled.

Tomorrow will be a required workday for school employees, and staff should report on a normal schedule as conditions allow.

Due to inclement weather concerns and the winter weather advisory that has been issued for Pasquotank County, ECPPS will operate on a 3-hour early release tomorrow, December 8th.

All after-school activities and extracurricular events are canceled for tomorrow.

Students will be dismissed at the following times:
11:15 a.m. - Pre-K & Micro School
11:45 a.m. - Elementary Schools
12:20 p.m. - H.L. Trigg Community School
12:30 p.m. - ECP Early College
12:35 p.m. - Middle Schools
12:50 p.m. - High Schools
