We are just over a week away from our 2nd annual Community Baby Shower and we’ve reached our registration goal!! 🥳

We are still collecting gently loved and new items for our event’s shopping area. You can drop off any items at three drop-off locations:

🔹Sentara Albemarle Medical Center’s surgery entrance
🔹ABC Play Counseling and Consultation Services
🔹That Life Fitness in Jordan Plaza
🔹Pasquotank County Library
🔹Knobbs Creek Recreation Center

We have several families registered who are in need of items like car seats and strollers, as well as items for smaller babies who are due to arrive earlier than expected. We’ve added these items to our Amazon wishlist and are looking for items locally that we can pass onto these families.

We are also hoping to provide mini bouquets 💐 to each mom attending. We are hoping to locate flowers to create something like the picture in the comments. We have just over 69 moms attending, If you would like to donate flowers or sponsor this, see below for details!

🌟🌟 GIVEAWAY ALERT 🌟🌟

Help us reach our first goal for this year’s 2023 Climb Out of the Darkness!! This is our 5th annual Climb Out of Darkness event and we’ll be back at Fun Junktion.

The Climb Out of the Darkness is the world's largest fundraiser for perinatal mental health. Our goal is to raise awareness of perinatal mental health conditions that can affect both pregnant and postpartum mothers and families. We also have a fundraising goal of $500, with all funds going back to Postpartum Support International to support programs like the PSI Helpline (which connects families with local resources), virtual support groups via zoom, peer mentor programs, and much more.

This year we will feature our Climb/Walk, interactive activities for kids and adults, a community resource fair, and the The Neon Lemon, LLC! This event is FREE and open to public.

The Villages of Northeast North Carolina is so excited to announce that we are teaming up with Pasquotank County Library to host a fall Family Literacy Festival!

Join us Saturday September 9th from 10am-1pm at Knobbs Creek Recreation Center for a celebration of early literacy! You will be able to meet all your local literacy agencies and bring home a free children's book!

We will also be offering:

🔹Live storytelling
🔹Arts and crafts
🔹Library Card Assistance
🔹The Neon Lemon, LLC (for a fee)
🔹Music with Viking Sound Studios

This event is free, open to the public, and intended for families and children of all ages.
