If you know a bereaved mother, we’d like to share a few reminders to help you support her in thoughtful ways:

💬 Unless the mother has said otherwise, it’s okay to speak her child’s name. This welcomes reflection and acknowledges her relationship with her child.

🍱 To offer practical support, mention specific tasks rather than general platitudes. For example, try something like, “Can I bring you lunch today?” instead of, “Is there anything I can do for you?”

🫂 If the mother needs company or space to herself, honor her wishes.
