In A Little While

If Lorena were on this planet, she would be 70 today. She is, I’m sure, enjoying Heaven with her Father. I look forward to spending some quality time (in a little while) with my BEFF* in our BPF**

Today I choose to smile

44 years ago today, I made the second-best decision of my life * and I've never regretted it. The best is yet to come.

First Year in Heaven

I’ve been thinking of things that were first for Lorena in our earthly relationship.
• She was the first to trust Jesus (1960) for me 1972
• She was the first to know all the books of the Bible
• She was the first meet the Bible’s author
• I was her first (and last) date

BUT, I have one…Lorena was my first and last BEFF (Best earthly friend forever)

Randy Alcorn has said this, and I so agree with it: ‘The only way to avoid grief is to avoid love. The only way I could grieve Nanci less is to have loved her less. I’m so thankful to have had a relationship so great that the absence of it has left that great hole in my life.’

But as Randy does with Nanci, I have ‘the certainty’ that my relationship with Lorena ‘hasn’t been terminated, just interrupted.’.

The Solid Rock still holds my anchor. If you love someone, you want the best for them. Jesus is the best, and that gives me joy.
