๐ฅ Feeling stiffer in this summer heat?
You're not imagining it.
When temps rise, your joints can swell, muscles tighten, and fatigue hits faster, and ever MORE if you're already dealing with nagging pain or inflammation.
But the good news? There are ways to beat the heat (and the pain):
โ
Hydrate more than you think you need. Dehydration makes joint pain worse. Water keeps tissues cushioned and flexible.
โ
Use cooling breaks. A damp towel on your neck or wrists can help regulate your body temp and reduce swelling.
โ
Keep moving, but pace yourself. Gentle mobility exercises keep things loose. Donโt overdo it just because the sunโs out.
We help patients every summer who say, โI thought it was just the heat.โ
And it is, but that doesnโt mean you have to live with it.
