Monday evening (June 17, 2024), at approximately 2000hrs Tour 2 was dispatched to the 400 block of Fulton St. for a Signal 411 for a reported house fire. First arriving units found smoke showing from the attic of a 2 1/2 story single family home. Crews faced difficulties with long hose stretches, Collyer's Mansion conditions, and high temperatures from the heat wave, but were able to limit damage to the home and hold the fire to a single alarm.
Companies operating on scene were E5, E3, E2, E1 (FAST), L2, L3 & R1. EMS provided medical monitoring and rehab under the supervision of S4. All units operated under the command of DC2, BC1 & BC2.
