Did you know, Female turtles can lay eggs even if they’ve never been around a male. These eggs are non-fertile, meaning they will not hatch, it’s just a natural part of their reproductive cycle.

Laying eggs actually helps keep female turtles healthy by preventing egg retention, so while it was unexpected, it’s totally normal behavior!
