Celebrating Clinical Success : Bonnie Crabtree

Bonnie came to Ivy Hall after surgery to repair her ankle. She was not allowed to put weight on her leg after surgery and needed skilled nursing and rehabilitation in order to return home safely.

Bonnie was a very hard worker and made progress quickly with Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy interventions. She learned to transfer and maneuver with a walker and go up and down steps while maintaining the non-weight bearing status of her lower extremity. At discharge she was able to go home with a friend but is now living alone again and doing well.

Bonnie often visits Ivy Hall and attends activities with all her Ivy Hall friends. We love you Bonnie and are so happy that you are doing so well.

Respiratory worked closely with the Therapy Department and Nursing staff to enhance her respiratory health by returning to her prior level of function. Ms. Richardson was able to wean off her oxygen.
