Celebrating Clinical Success : Nancy Murray

Nancy Murray came to Ivy Hall after having a major joint replacement due to severe arthritis.

She participated in Physical and Occupational Therapy with a focus on increasing her mobility and relieving pain in her joint. At admission, she required assistance with all mobility and activities of daily living. Nancy was a high fall risk due to pain and instability of her lower extremities. Her goal at admission was to be able to walk on her own and do all her self-care without assistance.

Nancy quickly progressed with her rehab program and was able to go home to her apartment and care for herself. She stated that she loved all the staff at Ivy Hall and would miss everyone but was ready to go home. Congratulations Nancy Murray!

Celebrating Clinical Success : Patricia Hughes

Patricia Hughes chose Ivy Hall Nursing Home following a hospitalization and decline in function. She was too weak to return to her apartment alone and needed some strengthening. She also needed some medication adjustments to manage a chronic disease that was causing severe hand tremors.

Patricia participated in Physical and Occupational Therapy daily working on walking, transfers and activities of daily living. She quickly progressed with her strength and balance and was able to return home alone to her independent living apartment. Patricia said about Ivy Hall, "I have enjoyed working with all the therapists so much. They helped me get my strength and independence back. I am so happy to get back home. Thank God for Ivy Hall."
