Celebrating Clinical Success : Glenda Carr

Mrs. Glenda Carr chose Ivy Hall Nursing Home following a hospitalization that resulted in a decline in strength, mobility, and respiratory function. Upon admission, she required assistance with transfers, had difficulty completing daily activities, and experienced shortness of breath with minimal exertion.

Through the coordinated therapy approach, she received physical therapy to improve strength, balance, and walking ability; occupational therapy to regain independence with daily activities such as dressing and bathing, and respiratory therapy to improve breathing endurance and oxygen management.

Over the course of her stay, Mrs. Carr made steady progress. She advanced from needing assistance to walking safely with minimal support, improved her ability to complete self-care tasks independently, and demonstrated better breathing tolerance during activity.

As a result of her hard work and the interdisciplinary therapy team's support, she was successfully discharged home with increased independence, improved confidence, and a better quality of life. Thank you for choosing Ivy Hall Nursing Home; we are so proud of you.

Celebrating Clinical Success : Mary Miller

Mary Miller came to Ivy Hall after falling at home and suffering numerous fractures. She was in a lot of pain at admission and was having difficulty with basic movement.

Mary pushed through the pain and participated each day with physical and occupational therapy. She was determined to reach her goals and return home.

After much healing and hard work, she succeeded and was able to go home with her daughter. Congratulations Mary Miller!
