Upright: this card represents an ending, change, transformation or transition. Death symbolizes the end of a major phase or aspect of your life that is no longer serving you. For a door to open, one must first close. You must put the past behind you in order to embrace new opportunities.

Reversed: you are on the verge of a meaningful change, but are resisting it. You may be reluctant to let go, or maybe don't know how to make the change you need. You may be carrying harmful viewpoints from the past that intervene with new opportunities and possibilities. Because of this, you may be feeling stuck and stagnant. It is time to learn how to say 'yes' to change.

Now may also be a good time to release old mentalities. Just because it got you here doesn't mean it will get you there sort of thing. You can choose when to pause, or the universe will do it for you.

Reversed: this card represents delays, resistance, stalling, and indecision. You may know you need to pause or rest, but for some reason have been resisting it. You fill your days with tasks and projects and keeping busy, distracting you from what actually needs attention.
