The planets are aligning!
Mark your calendars for August 10, because the morning sky is putting on a rare and beautiful show. Just before sunrise, six planets will appear to line up in a graceful arc across the horizon – a celestial event you won’t see again this year.
Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn will all be visible to the naked eye, while Uranus and Neptune will also be part of the alignment, though you’ll need binoculars or a telescope to spot them. Still, just knowing they’re all up there together makes the moment feel extraordinary.
To catch the view, head outside about 30 to 60 minutes before sunrise, and look toward the eastern and southeastern sky. Try to find a dark spot away from city lights with a clear view of the horizon – no trees, buildings, or mountains in the way.
Planetary alignments like this don’t happen often, and when they do, weather, timing, or poor visibility can get in the way. But this time, everything is lining up just – literally.
So take a few minutes before the world wakes up. Step outside, look up, and watch six worlds stretch across the dawn sky in perfect formation. It’s a quiet, cosmic reminder of just how vast and connected our solar system really is.
And if you’re able to snap a photo – even better. But honestly? Just being there to witness it is more than enough.
