🎉 What an unforgettable day at Helmwood’s 20th Annual Senior Q — and for the very first time, we celebrated alongside our sister community, Willow Creek Assisted Living!
Our Senior Q is all about coming together to honor our incredible residents, staff, and families who make our communities so special. ❤️
From live music that had toes tapping, to exciting fun like a dunk tank, bouncy house, face painting, cake walk, a silent auction, and so much more… there was laughter, joy, and smiles everywhere you looked!
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, volunteered, or helped make this milestone event possible. There are so many people that contributed to this event. Here’s to 20 years of tradition, community, and celebration — and to many more to come!

Today is a day of mixed emotions as we said "see you later" to a very special member of our community, Ben Hawkins. This retired veteran is starting a new chapter as he transfers to the Radcliff Veterans Center to continue his care.
Ben has been a true inspiration to all of us. His unwavering positivity, sense of humor, and fondness for apple slices with peanut butter have made a lasting impact. While we'll miss his presence here, we are so happy that he will be receiving specialized care at the Radcliff Veterans Center, a facility dedicated to serving our nation's heroes.
We promise to visit and we’ll bring apple slices and peanut butter!

Today we celebrated Independence Day with red, white, and blue pride! Our residents lit up the halls in their festive colors, enjoying the spirit of freedom, friendship, and fun. It was a joyful day of honoring our country and the amazing people who make our community so special.

Today, our very own resident Sheila McCoy led a wonderful exercise session for her fellow residents.

Sheila brought her positivity, leadership, and a whole lot of fun to the group as she guided everyone through stretches and light movements.

Regarding the watermelon, Val, our activities assistant said they’re working up an appetite to eat it!
