📈 Neck pain is becoming more common in young people around the world.

A new study found that neck pain has been rising since 1990, especially in girls and in countries with higher incomes. It is expected to continue growing by 2050.

Why it matters:
🔹 Neck pain can start young and get worse with age
🔹 Poor posture and excessive screen time may be part of the problem
🔹 Some developed areas are seeing faster increases than others

The good news? Early care, better posture, and regular movement can make a big difference.

✅ Improved quality of life

Even small changes in activity and nutrition can support your recovery and help reduce back pain over time.

If you are dealing with ongoing back pain, we are here to help you build healthy habits that support a stronger and more active life!

💤 Struggling with back pain and poor sleep? The two are more connected than you might think.

A recent study found that people with chronic low back pain who slept poorly had more pain, anxiety, and trouble with daily tasks.

This shows that sleep quality significantly affects how people experience and manage back pain.

🧬 New research shows a clear link between higher body weight and an increased risk of lumbar spondylolisthesis, a condition in which a lower back bone shifts out of place.

Using genetic data from thousands of people, the study found that a higher body mass index (i.e., overweight or obese) makes it more likely for someone to develop this spine condition.

The takeaway is simple. Maintaining a healthy weight may help protect your spine and lower the risk of severe back problems.

If back pain is slowing you down, we can help you take steps toward better movement and long-term spine health.

🪑 Sit at a desk all day and have lower back pain?

A new study found that office workers with back pain had weaker hip muscles and poor coordination between the hips and lower back when bending.

Stronger hips = less strain on your spine and less pain.

🏋️‍♀️ Can jumping exercises help with injury recovery? A new review says yes.

Plyometric training, which includes fast and powerful movements like jumps, may help people recover from injuries like ankle sprains, ACL tears, and shoulder problems. Most studies showed promising results when these exercises were done safely and with the proper guidance.

But jumping in without a plan (literally!) can do more harm than good. Our providers can help guide you through the right exercises at the right time to build strength, improve movement, and safely return to activity.

If you are recovering from an injury, we can help you take the next step with care that fits your goals!

☀️ Staying cool during a heatwave helps more than just comfort. It can protect your health.

A new study shows that using a fan and drinking cold water is the best way to cool down in hot, humid weather.

While a fan alone helps, it can also lead to dehydration. Combining airflow and hydration lowers body temperature, eases heart strain, and helps you feel better.

If you spend time outside or work in hot settings, check out this infographic on key ways to stay hydrated! https://bit.ly/2V0oyyU

💥 Sore on the outside of your hip? It could be gluteal tendinopathy, a common cause of hip pain.

A new study looked at hip scans from people with this condition and found:

✅ Many had changes in more than one tendon
✅ Some had small or large tears
✅ Others had calcium buildup near the bone

The way the hip looked on the scan did not match the amount of pain or trouble they had. This means that what shows up on an MRI does not always explain how you feel.

Treatment focused on movement and strength can help you feel better, no matter what the scan says. Check out this infographic for more information. https://bit.ly/3CXm0D3
