Hi everyone!

Flu shot season is coming soon and are staff always get asked, "When is the best time to get my flu shot?"

ApotheCARE & Inspire ApotheCARE Pharmacy typically has flu shots available starting as early as September. Getting vaccinated in September or October helps ensure you're protected before the peak of the flu season while also allowing enough time for the vaccine to build immunity. It generally takes about two weeks for the flu vaccine to become fully effective after vaccination.

While some offer the flu shot as early as August, it may not be as effective when the flu season is at its peak, which is between December and February, and can last until May.

If you have concerns, you can always speak with your healthcare provider to determine the best time for you to get vaccinated based on your individual health and circumstances.

We have received a few reports of scam text messages sent to ApotheCARE Pharmacy customers from the phone number 855-750-1957. The message falsely claims to be from ApotheCARE Pharmacy and includes a link asking for your date of birth (DOB).

⚠️ This is NOT from ApotheCARE Pharmacy/ Inspire ApotheCARE Pharmacy. PLEASE DO NOT CLICK THE LINK.

If you receive a text from 855-750-1957, please ignore and delete it. Stay vigilant and protect your personal information!

Please note that the pharmacy notifies patients by text regarding prescription status, but the message will not include a link and will not originate from the 855 number.

Good afternoon everyone!

As a reminder, brand-new prescriptions from your doctor may take a few days to fill, especially if it is a specialty medication or a brand-name medication. Some reasons for delays are:

* Drug is not in stock, has to be ordered, or is affected by a drug shortage
* Your insurance wants more information from your doctor (PA-prior authorization) or wants an alternative medication prescribed before they will cover it.
* Prescription may need to be verified with doctor for dosing, instructions, interactions, etc.
* The drug may need to be compounded
