Stuck inside this afternoon and evening, so taking the time to review some of the art we will have for sale February 6 and 7.

We'll be posting more, but these two are among our favorites. Donated by Pam Leonard, they are large chalk prints by Lancaster artist Elva Hurst. Pam has had them sealed to fix the chalk in place. Aren't they gorgeous? The autumn-themed one is already spoken for, but we are keeping it at The Trove until after February 7 so our patrons can appreciate the beauty.

FYI, the Holy Family picture is from about 20+ years ago, when Elva did a presentation to Pioneer girls at Hershey Free Church. Let us know if anyone remembers being at that event.

Gone! It went fast. Claimed yesterday and picked up today (they even had to navigate the snow piles into our driveway, as the plowing wasn't finished).

A gently used, pristine Delta baby-changing table has been recently donated to The Trove. Although it's not typically featured in our shop and requires no upcycling, we recognize its value to families in need. This item saw limited use by grandparents for visiting grandchildren. Interested parties are invited to comment below to arrange pickup details via messenger. A small donation of $20 or an amount deemed suitable by the donor is appreciated.

New into the shop--two very different but wonderful wooden duck decoys.

✅A hand-carved and hand-painted wooden pintail duck decoy with glass eyes. We love how his head is turned.

✅A rustic vintage folk art-style hand-carved and hand-painted duck decoy of a male wood duck.

We can't wait to show you them when we are next open, on Friday, February 6 (2 PM to 6 PM) and February 7 (9 AM to 1 PM). Save those dates.

How fun are these? We obtained these for the shop because we love mid-century glassware. Then we checked with a UV light and they glow! Probably manganese since they don't register on our Geiger counter (What? You don't have a Geiger counter? 😅). But we know someone will love these!

We are spending the next few weeks doing a refresh for our shop days in early February. Make sure to save the dates-- February 6 and 7.

Remember that 1930s waterfall hutch we had forever? It's now in Julie Matthews' kitchen, repurposed into a coffee bar. They added copper to the back of the top, made it counter height by adding a toe kick and trim with a mix of mahogany to match the hutch and teak to match their kitchen cabinets. They stained the top of bottom piece, then several coats of polyurethane.

We love upcycling or repurposing quality vintage items. We love it even more that 100% of sales support the free & low-cost healthcare services we provide at Hope Within Community Health, Counseling & Dental Center AND we save things from the landfill. Win win!
