Phew! It's getting warm this week. But the ideal planting time (or hanging time for baskets) is generally in early May. That's why we have our yearly plant sale fundraiser for Hope Within Community Health, Counseling & Dental Center NOW for pickup at The Trove on May 1 or May 2. Order now while you are contemplating the great weather and how to best beautify your yard, porch, or deck. Deadline for pre-orders is April 23.

It's our 3rd annual Spring Flower Sale! As the days start to get warmer, it's easy to dream about your early May landscape. We've been very happy with the quality of flowers and plants we've gotten the past few years from Layser's Nursery in Myerstown. This year, we are again offering a variety of plants, from geraniums, to calibrachoa, petunias, impatiens, Boston ferns, and even herbs! Thank you to the ladies of GracePoint Church Palmyra 's Widows Group who went above a beyond today for The Trove and Hope Within Community Health, Counseling & Dental Center.

Audrie had a great visit, watching the group use some of our donated china cups and other containers to make beautiful faux floral arrangements. We will have them for sale the next time we are open (May 1 and 2) and through the summer (as they last).

A futon in great condition; teal Ball jars and cylindrcal vases, perfect for an event; vintage boy's books (1912); a new Vera Bradley mini backpack---just a few of the many things we still have on hand at our "cboose-your-own-price" yard sale.

Inside, we have treasures galore, including Easter baskets that would make a lovely hostess gift for those spending an Easter meal with family.

We are open until 6 PM today, then 9 AM to 1 PM Saturday.

Well, we may have more than expected at our yard sale this weekend. It's astounding what we brought out of the shed.

And of course, our shop is also open.

These amazing shoes were donated to us. Most of them are new, some were worn one time, from what we can tell. They will be at our yard sale this weekend, where you can choose what you'd like to donate for them.

The generosity of local folks never ceases to amaze us. As we seek to raise support for our local free clinic--Hope Within Community Health, Counseling, and Dental Center, we find ourselves getting unexpected treasure for The Trove this week.

A local resident with a heart for nonprofits gave us a "trove" of high-end designer handbags and shoes gathered from a home cleanout. Almost all are unused and brand new, although some are slightly new. We'll be doing a separate post on the shoes, which will part of our yard sale this weekend. But here are some of the purses.

A special note: We always try to make shopping at The Trove fun and affordable. But we have a responsibility to continue to make sure our efforts can help underwrite the care our volunteer doctors, nurses, dentists and other professionals give the medically-uninsured in our area. Selling designer bags is not usual for us, but we have them priced a little higher than our typical Trove treasure. If you are a fan of designer bags, you'll notice the very deep discount we are offering only this weekend. If they don't sell this weekend, we'll be putting prices on them that reflect the going rate and listing them on our new eBay presence. But for this weekend, they are close to half or lower than what we will sell them for online.

--Daniella Lehavi (Made in Israel) cross-body bag (brown leather with black and white flap). Very gently used, like new. Original price $350. Price this weekend $150.

--NEW Daniella Lehavi small cross-body bag from the softest black leather with cowhide-style flap. Fits large cell phone and wallet. Perfect for concerts. Online seen for $255. Price this weekend, $125.

--New Mary Frances (Made in India) blue suede with beading. Sells online for $210. Price this weekend for $60.

These will be in The Trove, priced as indicated. We will have many other purses out at our yard sale, where you can choose your own price/donation for them. Fun for bargain shoppers and those ladies who can't give up a deal on a fab high-end find.

Yard Sale! Our storage is overflowing so come set your own price on things outside (rain or shine). Furniture will also be pulled out of our shed--make an offer! Plus our usual unique shop items inside, with some great sales. April 3 (2 PM to 6 PM) and April 4 (9 AM to 1 PM). All proceeds benefit our free clinic.
