"I want to vote David for the employee spotlight. David is the hardest working man I've ever met. He works 11 sometimes 16 hours daily. He works everyday of the week. He does not take lunch breaks. He listens to everyone's problems. Patients and staff included. He is a really good boss. He always has our best interest at heart. He is so dedicated and kind. No matter how stressful this job can be he makes it worth working here because he leads by example. He is so smart. He's hard to argue with in most situations because he usually ends up being right about everything. He is our little dictionary who knows random facts about every sports player. David knows everything about everything. I have never met a person as smart as him. He even helped me on my homework. This man does not sleep, and all of his work is quality down to the period."

Our Louisville Residential group got creative today with gingerbread houses! 🏠✨ While building sweet masterpieces, they focused on the foundations that matter most teamwork, communication, and therapeutic coping skills. A fun and festive way to learn and grow together! 🎄💪

"I would like to nominate Lakyn Reynolds for her exceptional dedication and willingness to go above and beyond her normal responsibilities. When a medical team member had to leave the organization due to a medical emergency, Lakyn stepped in without hesitation to ensure continuity of care for our clients. She has taken the initiative to make sure medications were reordered as needed and has coordinated provider visits even when she was not physically present at the facility. Her proactive efforts have been instrumental in ensuring that clients’ medical needs are consistently met.”

Helping Men & Women Live Better Lives

The Commitment House’s mission is to provide person – centered treatment in an individualized therapeutic community through our Residential and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP). Our program is open to anyone struggling with alcohol and drug addiction. Our licensed staff includes: Medical Doctor, Psychiatrist, LCSW, LPCCs, CADC, TCADC, and Certified Adult Peer Support Specialists.

Here at The Commitment House, our goal is to help individuals improve their quality of life. We are committed to delivering a holistic approach, for this reason, we want our clients to aim for self–sufficiency. We want to walk with our clients through a step–down program which includes stepping down from Residential Treatment to IOP, to Outpatient, to Sober Living, and then to transition back out into the community as a beneficial member of society.

Our 4–6 month program is a 12–step fellowship that includes, alcohol and drug education, accountability, group and individual therapy, peer support, case management, morning and night meditation. We create an atmosphere of acceptance and strive to inspire a sense of belonging.

Incarcerated clients are welcome in our IOP program. We practice a relationship of compliance by reporting weekly to required agencies, such as Drug Court, Probation and Parole, as well as directly to ordering judges and attorneys. Orders may be faxed to (270) 900–0426.
