💙 Why we’re doing this (and why we’re being open about it):
When we took over Etown Swim & Fitness — a facility that had been part of Elizabethtown for years but had shut down — we knew reopening it as Club One East was a huge responsibility.
Getting this facility back up and running wasn’t just unlocking the doors 🔑. It required major upfront costs to make the building operational, safe, staffed, and ready for the community again. From repairs 🛠️ and deep cleaning 🧼 to equipment, utilities ⚡💧, insurance, staffing 👥, and compliance — the costs add up quickly.
On top of normal operating expenses, we’re also planning future renovations and upgrades to make this facility the absolute best it can be for Etown 🚀
Recently, we also faced an unexpected challenge — a flood caused by a frozen pipe ❄️💧. While that setback wasn’t planned, we’re actively overcoming it and continuing to push forward. This is part of owning and operating this large older facility, and we’re committed to doing things the right way 💪
The good news? 🎉
We opened on January 5th, and things are going really well 🙌 Started off hectic LOL But The response has been amazing, and we truly love seeing how excited people are that this facility is open again and thriving. That support means everything to us ❤️
As a local, community-based business 🏠, we want to raise funds in cool, innovative ways that keep ownership, pride, and support right here in Elizabethtown — and give our partners real visibility and value.
This post isn’t a sales pitch — it’s an honest conversation 🤝 about building something special together and being transparent about what it takes to do that.
If you’re interested, have ideas, or want to be part of this journey, feel free to DM us 💬 or stop by and talk with us in person.
We’re excited about what’s ahead for Club One East, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who’s helped bring this place back to life 🙏💙
