Owning a cleaning company I always get asked this question the most!
I bet your house is really clean.🤣😂
Ugh, nope. I wipe my kitchen daily, but only clean the rest of the house weekly sometimes it's 2 weeks.
I strongly believe there is such a thing as too clean. Your immune system needs some microbes. I also grow potted plants that go outside inspring/summer and inside for winter. My pets are in and out. Open those windows too.

January marks 30 years in business. We're a mom and pop business that have fought tooth and nail with big franchises. I've lost to some and have been called back by some.I've held my own, came through covid. Lost everything with a fire. I've been knocked down so many times I now smile when I get up. God always has a cracked window or door for me. I work by myself now and that's okay. I'll be 73 this year and have no plans on retiring any time soon. I am very selective and just acquired another job. I am truly blessed. Some of my clients have been with me since I've been in business 30 years.

Here's a small cleaning tip. Going to entertain? Do small touch up yourself, no guest will notice your house. After your party, call a cleaning service.

6 easy mistakes you make using disinfectant wipes.
1. Using them too often. They aren't meant to be used every day, or even everytime you clean
2. You should always clean areas first , then disinfect.
3. Keeping the area wet long enough for it ti work properly.
Most call for 4 minutes but a single wipe can't do that.
4. Before using the wipes, take a minute to shake the container. This puts the wet, pooled liquid in the bottom back into the wipes making them wet enough, and easier to use as instructed.
5. Using on stone surfaces like countertops.counter tops. Commercial wipes contain citric acid that can erode protective coating on stone countertops that help prevent stains and discoloration. Don't use on them, use their recommended product for cleaning.
6. You can use on areas for food preparation, however, you need to rinse that area with water before food prep to remove the chemicals. This also applies to toys or any other items babies or children may put in their mouth.

Cleaning your makeup brushes and sponges:
A poll recently showed 39% of women cleaned their makeup tools once a month, while another 22% said they didn't clean them at all.
There are several ways to clean your makeup tools.
Brush cleansers are really expensive.
I use dawn dish soap but you could use baby shampoo. Never use vinegar or oil, they are too harsh. Some use dish soap and olive oil but this doesn't work because the oil attracts dirt & bacteria.
Needed:
Dawn dish soap
Silicone trivet
Clean towel
Wet the bristles under cool water. Don't use hot water, it could melt the adhesives that help hold brushes together. Also make sure the metal piece and handle stay dry.
Sq**rt a small amount of dish soap on silicone trivet. Then gently massage the bristles so they lather up. Place the wet bristles of your brush against soapy trivet, gently swirl it around to create a lather. Rinse and repeat until water runs clear.
Dry brush on its side. On last rinse then use a clean towel to squeeze any remaining water out.Set brush across the top of a drinking cup. Let air dry for several hours. Dry on side helps brushes remain shape.
Cleaning makeup sponge:
Needed:
Pint Size Mason jar
1 cup hot water
1 TBSP dawn dish soap
1 TBSP vinegar
Fill jar with the hot water, then add the dish soap and white vinegar. Place sponges in jar then replace lid. Let soak 15-20 minutes. This gives soap & vinegar time to break down the oily makeup residue. Then shake jar for about a minute. Rinse the sponge, squeezing it frequently in your hand until water runs clear. Let dry overnight.
Oh yay, clean your makeup brushes and sponges every 2 weeks.
