Hello,
This is Joshua Kobel, former activities director for the Kepler Center. As many of you may already know, the Kepler Center will be closing its doors by the end of this month. We are saddened by this loss, but we remain optimistic that our futures will be rich with opportunity. On behalf of the staff and residents of the Kepler Center, I wish to send to you all, our friends, family, and community, a note of immense gratitude for all the love and support you have given us over these last many years. Without you, we could not have been the 5 star facility that we were. It was our great joy, honor, and pleasure to love and care for you family members and loved ones, and we wish you all the very best for bright futures ahead. Peace, blessings, love, and light to all!

This is a lovely letter that we recently received here at Kepler from a family member of one of our residents who recently passed away. It is a true blessing to hear such positive feedback from our residents' loved ones about the care their loved one has received during their time here. Continue below to read the full contents of the letter:

Dear Friends at Kepler,
Words cannot describe the thanks and utmost sincerity that I have for all that you did for my mother. You ALL treated my mom with such sincere love, respect, and dignity as do ALL of the residents.
As I look back, I would not have expected you to do anything more. Somehow, God has given you a place in your hearts to do what very few can do. Over the course of eleven or so months, it became increasingly clear to me that you show up each day with the intent to make someone's life better and provide care and comfort to those who cannot manage for themselves. I cannot imagine anyone who would not be impressed by what you do for others.
If I had one wish, it would be that I could somehow be as good of a person that you ALL are. Your love for those less fortunate makes a difference to their lives and to their families.
May you never lose the special gift that each and every one of you has.

This past July and August, we took two trips with several of our residents to visit the amazing animals at Lake Tobias Animal Park! The residents had a blast feeding and visiting with the animals, and the staff were wonderful. We at Kepler send a huge thank you to the staff of Lake Tobias for helping to make these trips a success and for the special memories created!

The residents at Kepler received a very special surprise this morning! We were blessed this morning by a family of wonderful musicians who came all the way across the "big drink" from Belarus to visit with the family of one of our residents. They were kind enough to surprise us with an impromptu concert of flute and violin music and some lovely singing! What a beautiful way to start our week here at Kepler! Vladimir, Julia, David, and Phillip: Thank you so much for blessing us this morning with your warm spirits and your beautiful music!

Our friends from Let's Dance Activities, Holis Taylor and Bright Hawk, came back for a visit with our residents, and the residents had a great time dancing and listening to the peaceful music of the Hang PanArt! They will be returning to us in the fall!

The residents enjoyed a lovely afternoon picnic outside under a nice big tent to celebrate Flag Day! It sure was hot that day, but the tent made some excellent and most welcome shade!
