A wonderful, FREE service available to Elk City students experiencing grief/loss/separation. Big feelings and trauma can come in little sizes (kids) too! Sign up by 2/10/26.
We received great feedback and are very excited to have Calm Waters Student Grief Support Groups at Elk City Public Schools again this spring! Calm Waters has trained facilitators that will provide group counseling to our students. Support groups are offered in-person, at school and free of charge! As a reminder, students are eligible for this program if they have experienced a loss related to death, divorce, deployment, deportation, incarceration, foster care, adoption, and/or immigration/refugee status. Students who have previously participated must be re-registered to be considered for the spring session. There is no limit to the number of times a student may participate in Calm Waters programming.
