Bell Avenue Nursing Center is so excited to introduce our new Activities & Social Services Director, Katon Mackey! 💙

Katon brings such a light, fun, and caring spirit to our building. Her kindness, generosity, and positive energy brighten the day for everyone around her. We are already so excited for the creativity, laughter, and meaningful moments she will help bring to our residents and staff each day.

From engaging activities to meaningful connections, Katon will be helping make sure our residents stay active, entertained, and surrounded by joy.

We’ve HAD some morning pick-me-ups waiting for our amazing staff today! We wheeled by and let them grab a quick bite to start their shift.

On the cart this morning:
🥐 Fresh muffins
🍪 Scones
🥣 Cereal bars
🥤 And a cold soda

Thank you for everything you do each day for our residents. Your hard work, compassion, and dedication do not go unnoticed, and we appreciate you more than you know! 💙

Our residents enjoyed the best of both worlds this afternoon — sweet AND savory with refreshing iced coffee and fresh fruit! Because honestly… why choose just one? 😋

The creativity was flowing thanks to Amber with Comforting Hands Hospice! Our Residents had so much fun decorating cups with stickers and making their own unique designs. 🎨✨

A big THANK YOU to all on bringing the fun and helping make our Tuesday so special!

Smiles, laughter, creativity, and yummy treats made for a pretty perfect afternoon! 💙

THUNDER UP!!! ⚡

This week, we are shining the spotlight on someone who truly brings the capital FUN to Bell Avenue: Shane B.!

Born February 2nd and raised right here in Weatherford, Oklahoma, Shane is a proud OKC Thunder fan who loves country music, Chinese food, the color orange, and especially hanging out with his friends. Springtime is his favorite season — and honestly, he brings that same fresh, joyful energy year-round! 🌸

If you know Shane, you know this is true:
💙 He is the life of the party
🧡 Always has a smile
💙 Always ready with a joke
🧡 Always lifting others up

Our staff says Shane brings so much joy to Bell Avenue and has such an uplifting spirit. We couldn’t agree more! His one-word description of himself? FUN — and that fits him perfectly!

We had the BEST afternoon playing Singo (music bingo) with an Elvis twist! 🎵💙

A big thank you to Autumn from ACG Hospice for bringing the fun and spending the afternoon with our residents. From toe-tapping tunes to singing along with The King himself, the room was full of smiles, laughter, and great memories.

Nothing brings people together quite like music! 🎶✨

Who says exercise has to be boring? Not us!
Our residents had an absolute blast during our Balloon Exercise Circle today. There was laughter, a little friendly competition… and yes, sometimes we get a bit crazy! 😄

Staying active is so important, but having FUN while doing it makes it even better. Watching our residents smile, cheer each other on, and keep that balloon in the air is what it’s all about. 💙

🌟✨ RESIDENT SPOTLIGHT – MEET ELSIE! ✨🌟

If happiness had a face… it would look a whole lot like Elsie, ALSO known as “Vonnie.” to those closest to her.💚

Born April 22nd and raised in Sayre, Oklahoma, ELSIE describes herself in one perfect word: HAPPY, and we can confirm, she lives up to it every single day.

She loves:
🥧 Pumpkin pie (YUM!)
🎵 Country & western music
🎨 Crafting beautiful creations
🍂 The fall season
💚 And the color green (just in time for St. Patty’s Day!)

ELSIE never misses an activity and keeps everyone on their toes with her witty personality; and just the right touch of orneriness 😉

But what truly makes her special?

She puts a smile on our faces and laughter in our hearts daily.

Residents adore her. Staff loves her. And our halls are brighter because she’s in them.

🎉🎂 Birthday Party/Bingo Success! 🎂🎉

What a sweet way to celebrate! A huge thank you to Comforting Hands Hospice for providing this absolutely delicious cake for our birthday celebration. 🍰💛

We enjoyed a fun morning filled with Bingo, birthday cheers, and cake — and really, how could we go wrong with that combination? 😉

We are so grateful for community partners like Comforting Hands Hospice who help us make our residents feel extra special on their big day.
